Its hot outside, I mean really hot out. There has been way too many days of triple-digit temperatures for my comfort of late. Of course, a non-trivial range of double-digit temperatures also fall way outside of my comfort zone. I'm a pale skinned fat guy with severe hay fever, which means summer is generally a time for great discomfort for me. That being said, the sky is blue and the sun is bright, everything is green and bird song fills the air. It never hurts to look for the good in a situation. I'm heading out to O'Malley's tonight with my brother and a few friends to listen to Bob Reeder, drink some cider and whiskey, and generally just relax and have a good time. I had an interview Friday that went quite well, though they did say they thought I might be overqualified and bored with the job. I can understand that, but really, if I have a decent job with some options for eventual advancement, I'm not too worried about being bored, I can always find ways to keep myself amused. It sounded like it would be a decent place to work, so hopefully I will get a call back early next week. If not, I have another interview somewhere else on Tuesday and lots of other applications out there.
I hope to get another podcast together with rest of the WANCsters within the next few days. My brother is getting a lot of publicity with his Snakes on a Plane Tattoo and we should really be capitalizing on that, but things seem to have been a bit crazy for all of us the last few weeks.
