The following was an email I received at work this week from our system admin. I thought it was just geektastic enough to share: "Our server imhotep passed away Saturday. She was a good server, performing client email duties and hosting such notable sites as [edited]. She also faithfully served as backup dns for 6 long years. At one point she had an uptime of 2 years until someone accidentally knocked her power cable out.
She never once complained about sitting alone on the DMZ, cordoned off from the rest of the servers as she was more vulnerable than they.
She will be missed by those who knew her best. Rest well fair server."
